QUOTE(classykool @ Nov 3 2009, 04:43 AM) So i have a 300D and Vista does EOS utility work on vista? i've been having problems trying to get it to work i have version 2.6.1 I can't tell much about the EOS utility. I found it's rather inferior. So I don't use it. It's just something they put into the can to go with the camera. I simply use the card reader to transfer files and then use some other software. In my case I use Photoshop, but there are many other free programs that can do most of the jobs you want. Like Picasa, for example. All depends on the level of sophistication you need. However EOS utility lets you change your name in the camera that goes into exif and do the remote shooting from your computer. If you need it, you can use Windows Virtual PC. Pain in the butt to setup and configure, but it works. |
