We've been experiencing large amount of spam lately. Mostly by forum posting bots. They are trying to impersonate forum administrator and usually send you links to their web pages that contain different types of malware. Please disregard any such messages.
To combat the problem, the following rules are in effect: 1. Users must validate their email when they register. If you are already registered, you are validated. Some email servers that are known to be used for Spam are blocked. This applies to many free email services. So better use some reputable email provider. 2. People awaiting validation can send 1 email message to one address in 24 hours. This is so they can contact administrator to request manual validation. They can't post anything on the forums or send personal messages. 2. People who are validated and belong to Members group cannot create new topics. But they can reply to existing threads. After posting several replies, they can create their own topics. Restrictions of no PM and 1 Email to 1 address in 24 hours still apply. 3. Restrictions listed above do not apply to "Advanced Members" group and higher. Though there are some reasonable restrictions there too. It's up to you to discover. 4. To move to "Advanced" group you should either post several replies, send email to me, or reply with your request here. You can use the REPORT button on any message to contact administrator. 5. People who post unrelated Spam on forums, or send unsolicited Spam using PM/Email will be banned forever without any warning or explanation. This will include ban on IP and email. They won't be able to see forums or contact administrator. This ban is for good. |

Yes, I've noticed some SPAM coming from here, but not nearly as bad as other groups I'm on.
Regardless, I'd appreciate a modification to my account so I can continue to participate. I don't post a lot here BUT I do monitor regularly, I have been a member for a long time and haven't posted anything of a SPAM nature. Thanks for keeping the resource available. |

I would like to either validate my email or move to advanced. Not sure how to validate, but the one on file is correct.
